LG to Change Notebook Batteries

LG Electronics has provided free replacing of batteries after two consumers stated that their laptop computers detonated. No matter the recall suggestion followed, LG claimed that the accidents are "isolated": The recall is processes solely among the batteries produced by LG Chemical for the latest notebook types, the LG Z1 and LG Z2.

Video tape shot in January revealed a correspondent's LG- Z1-AE007 laptop burning and later detonating.

LG gave up selling Z1 models last week as a second notebook explosion was claimed, states the South Korean Yonhap News Agency. The battery explosion for the first time was a result of "uncommon pressure and heat", a scientists from the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute informed the Korea Times. Despite the fact, the scientists couldn't find out what was the reason for the battery's overload. The laptop's user stated that the machine had been packed into a rucksack being in power standby, for some minutes before the explosion, and the was nothing uncommon in keeping atmosphere.

Usual safety regulations state for Li-On batteries to overcome minimally 10 minutes at 130 C degrees.
